Meet the Founders
In 2020, these college students set out on a mission to change the world for endangered species. While sharing a course at their school, Illinois Tech, they bonded over their passion for environmentalism and protecting endangered species. They believe it is a human responsibility to protect not only endangered animals but all wildlife. These young ladies knew the best way to save these animals was to spread awareness and educate others, especially the younger generations, who are the future of the planet. Driven by a passion for saving these animals and educating youth, they created Wild World Pets from the ground up. Balancing college courses and building a business can be challenging, but these ladies are dedicated to making the world a better place for endangered animals while furthering their education.
Meredith Williams
CEO and Content Manager
Meredith started Wild World Pets with the vision and drive to spread awareness about endangered species to youth in hope that these animals will be protected and saved from extinction. Meredith runs the social media accounts, the website, and the blog. She also handles customer relations, outreach, and business partnerships.
Aside from her work at Wild World Pets, Meredith is a student-athlete and is majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, but plans on going to veterinary school and obtaining her DVM. She is a shooting guard for the Illinois Tech Women's Basketball team. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her cat, spending time with family and friends, and finding new vegan restaurants to try!
Caitlin Kenoian
Wild World Petsâ„¢ Author and Artist
Caitlin writes and illustrates every Wild World Pets storybook. Her creativity and charisma bring life into every animal at Wild World Pets. She works hard to give every character their own identity while telling the survival story of endangered animals around the world. Caitlin wonderfully crafts her words and illustrations to make each character come to life.
Apart from creating the stories for Wild World Pets, Caitlin is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and her Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. She is also the goalie for the Illinois Tech Women's Soccer team. Caitlin enjoys listening to music, cooking, and watching TV shows in her downtime.
Zarish Hafeez
Financial Analyst
Although her work is mostly behind-the-scenes, Zarish is dedicated to protecting the endangered species on our planet. She works hard to keep everything running at Wild World Pets. She developed and updates our business plan and keeps track of the business finances.
When she is not crunching numbers in the business finances, Zarish is writing code or building circuits for her classes. She is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys building puzzles, watching TV, and spending time with her family and her bunny.
